Theresa L. Corrada has litigated employment cases and advised employees and employers about employment matters since 1993. Her distinguished career as an employment attorney spans more than two decades. In 1992, Ms. Corrada graduated first in her law school class at the University of Denver, receiving top honors in Labor and Employment Law courses. In 1992-93, she clerked for the Honorable Robert H. McWilliams of the federal Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. From 1993 to 1995, she was an associate at Feiger, Collison & Killmer, a premier boutique employment law firm (where she first met John Culver and Seth Benezra). From 1995 to 2011, she was an associate and then a shareholder at Isaacson Rosenbaum, where she became a shareholder and served as Chair of the firm’s Litigation and Employment sections for several years. In mid-2011, Ms. Corrada joined Lapin Lapin P.C., and in May of 2016, she became Of Counsel to Benezra & Culver, P.C.
Over the course of her more than 20 years of practice, Ms. Corrada has represented both employers and employees in dozens of federal and state court jury trials, including cases involving federal discrimination and retaliation claims and employment-related tort claims, such as defamation and misappropriation of trade secrets.
Ms. Corrada’s skills and ethics as an employment and trial lawyer have been commended by her peers and clients. She has achieved a prestigious AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, based on other lawyers rating her as having achieved the highest level of professional excellence. She has also received a “distinguished” rating from her clients and an endorsement for high ethical standing. From 2014-2016, Ms. Corrada served as Co-Chair of the Colorado Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section. For many years Ms. Corrada has presented continuing legal education courses for lawyers on various aspects of employment law and litigation, and she authors the annual updates to West’s Colorado Practice Series Employment Law book and handbook. Ms. Corrada has served as an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association in dozens of employment arbitrations.
